How much does an RV rental cost?

Do I need a special drivers license to rent an RV or Trailer?
No! Any standard US state driver's license is valid to drive or tow receational vehicles up to 40 feet in length.
Is there a minimum amount of time that we have to rent?
Our standard minimum rental is three nights. There is a four night minimum during the Summer Season, Holidays and Special Events.
Is mileage included in the rental cost?
All motorhome rentals include 100 free miles per rental night. Additional mileage is charged at the rate of .40 per mile for any extra miles at the end of the rental. Towable travel trailers and fifth-wheel trailers have unlimited mileage.
Can I get my motorhome or trailer delivered?

What deposits are required?
Upon confirmation, a non-refundable 20% reservation deposit ($100 minimum for travel trailers & $300 minimum for motorized RV's) is charged to your credit card. This deposit will be applied toward your rental charges. A security deposit ranging from $500 - $1500 (depending upon unit reserved) and estimated rental charges are payable three (3) days prior to departure by credit card. Personal checks and ATM cards are NOT accepted. For certain rental applications, damage deposits may be increased or decreased at coach owner's discretion. Upon return, all extra charges, if any, are balanced against the security deposit and a credit or check is issued to cover the refund within seen (7) business days.
Guest must bring their own linens, blankets, pillows & towels. Bedding & linen packages can be arranged in advance at extra cost. Please contact the us to confirm availability.
Do you provide kitchen & cooking supplies?
Our guests provide all cooking utensils and cookware based upon their family plans. Kitchen packages can be arranged in advance (subject to availability) and you should contact the us to confirm.
Do you offer bike rakes?
Bike rakes are available on a first reserved basis. a $10/day fee is charged for a bike rack rental.
Is there a charge for the generator?
The first 4 hours of usage are free with each rental night. A charge of $4.00 per hour applies thereafter.
What kind of gas mileage will we get?
Mileage depends on the size of the RV rental motor home and the driving conditions. Generally, you will get between 7 and 11 miles per gallon.
Do I need a special driver's license to drive a RV rental motor home?
All you need is to be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license. No special endorsement is needed.
Do I need auto insurance if I am having my camper or RV delivered??
No! Our Campsite Delivery Program includes all insurance in the event of damage.
Do I need to purchase special insurance if I am driving or towing my RV?
Yes. If you will be driving or towing your recreational vehicle, you will need to obtain evidence of full coverage insurance during the full term of your RV rental. Renters may be able to obtain a FREE "Binder of Insurance" for the dates of your rental from your current auto insurance company. It simply extends your automobile's full insurance coverage while you operate the rented RV. Call your agent to see if your policy offers RV rental binders. We will provide you with the information you need to give to your agent.

What if my auto insurance company does not offer RV rental binders?
You can purchase optional RV Rental Insurance for only about $25 dollars a day from our preferred provider. Each policy offers full collision and comprehensive coverage with $1,000,000 liability protection and only a $1500 deductible. You must obtain coverage before your departure and pass a DMV check. When can I pick up the RV rental motor home?
Guests come to our office pick-up address to pick up your rental RV. Check-out orientations begin at 3pm unless earlier appointment is available. This allows us time to service and clean returning coaches. Check with us to arrange delivery and pick-up of your RV rental motor home to your home or office for an additional charge.
When will my travel trailer/camper be delivered to my campsite?
California state campgrounds typically allow deliveries & check-ins after 2 pm. During peak periods, delivery can be delayed for up to four hours due to campground back-up. Please contact us the day before your first day to receive an estimated delivery time.
Is it difficult to drive a RV rental motor home?
RV rental motor homes handle much like a car, especially the "C" class units which have a van chassis. Larger class "A" coaches are easy to drive but require added vigilance due to the larger size.
Are RV rental motor homes difficult to hook up?
No. At departure you will be given a 30-60 minute familiarization tour and learn how to hook it up and operate the appliances.
Does the RV rental motor home come equipped with pots and pans?
No. Linen and kitchen utensils are generally supplied by each renter as needed.
Does the RV rental motor home come with a TV, VCR, DVD, or stereo?
Most coaches offer an AM/FM stereo - some with a CD player in the dash. There is also a TV and VCR inside the RV rental motor home. Many units also come equipped with DVD players. Check with the coach information page for specific equipment.
Are there rollout awnings on the RV rental motor homes?
Are pets allowed in the RV rental motor homes?
Yes...but renters are responsible for any pet-related damage. We strongly recommend that all pets be caged if the renter leaves the camper or RV.
Can we smoke in the RV rental motor homes?
Are we allowed to travel into Canada (or vice versa)?
US registered RV's may enter Canada and return to the US without problem.
Are we allowed to travel into Mexico?
Can we travel one way to our destination or do we have to travel round trip?
You must travel round trip unless prior approval in writing is received from the coach owner.
How do I pay for the rental?
Most owners request that all payments be made with a major credit / debit card. We only accept alternative forms of payment on a pre-qualification basis. If you wish to tender payment with anything other than a straight credit card (cash, cashiers check, money order, or travelers check) for any portion of the payment, you must be a U.S. citizen and agree to and pass a credit check. We require at least 14-business days notice, prior to pick up, to process the credit check. This payment policy is very strict and there are no exceptions.
Can I tow my car or boat behind the RV rental motor home?
We do allow towing with all sizes of our RV rental motor homes. The RV rental motor homes are only equipped with a receiver hitch, so you would need to provide your own tow bar. We allow a maximum tongue weight of 250 lbs. and a maximum gross weight of 2,500 lbs. Towing or hitch fees may apply. You will need to inform us of your intentions to tow, so we can reserve a RV rental motor home specifically with a receiver hitch.
How much does it cost to stay in RV campgrounds?
Campground rates vary based on time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally you can expect to pay between $10 and $50 per night.
Should we pay the extra $10/night for "Full Hookup" camp sites?
ABSOLUTELY! Full hookup sites generally provide power, water, a sewage drain and sometimes cable tv connections. This makes camping so much easier, quieter and more convenient. Without hookups you are "dry camping" which we recommend only for experienced RV'ers or campers.
What kind of facilities might a campground offer?
A partial list of commonly found facilities would include: electric, water, sewer hook-ups, washer, dryer, swimming pool, playground, BBQ pits, on-site convenience store.
Are there any places we cannot take the RV rental motor home?
Yes. You may not travel into Mexico. Also, Death Valley and other desert areas are not allowed during the hot months or if the outside temperature exceeds 105 degrees. Vehicles are not allowed on logging or other non-public roads such as the Apache Trail in Arizona.
What if I return the vehicle before the date it is due?
No refunds will be made for early returns, late pick-ups or unused miles.
Do you have baby car seats and cribs available?
No. renters need to supply all infant & child care equipment
Is it safe to drink the water from the RV rental motor home tank?
We do not recommend this. It is difficult to know if the water is potable when renters fill the tank at a variety of locations. We recommend you use bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water from the fresh water holding tank is fine for washing and bathing.
What if I am involved in an accident?
You must notify the coach owner within 24 hours of an accident and make a full report in writing as well as file a police report.

What if the RV rental motor home breaks down?
Simply contact the coach owner for repair facilities near you. Any repairs in excess of $75 must have prior approval from the coach owner.
Is there a ladder so we can get on the roof?
No, we do not allow access on the roof for safety reasons and to prevent damage to the RV rental motor home.
Are there leveling jacks on the RV?
Some of our RVís have leveling jacks. Please view the coach information page to see if leveling jacks are listed for the coach you are interested in.
Can you pick me up/ drop me off at the airport?
We help you can make arrangements to pick you up and/or drop you off at the airport. A nominal fee may apply. We also recommend SuperShuttle service to/from the San Diego airport.
What if I have to cancel my reservation?
Your reservation deposit is non-refundable. If you must cancel less than 14 days in advance of your departure date (30 days for summer and holiday rentals), we will be happy to credit your deposit to a future reservation within 180 days.
